Liam Young

Liam qualified from UCD in 1991 with an honours degree in veterinary medicine. After spending four years in mixed practice he joined Drumrainey Veterinary Surgery in 1995 before becoming a partner in 1998. He enjoys the buzz and variety of working in a mixed rural practice dealing with all species of animals. Liam completed a post graduate certificate in Dairy Herd Health in UCD in 2012 providing him with an expertise in fertility, nutrition, mastitis, lameness and calf health.
Liam is from the locality and when not working, he operates a small suckler farm.
He has a passion for skiing and has recently joined a running club.
Liam’s two daughters and one son have a terrific love of animals, especially their three ponies, four cats and young calves.
